List of iNES mappers

The NES emulation community has agreed by necessity to number and name the different hardware mappers contained in NES cartridges. Numbering them has been criticized for running out of numbers (256 maximum allowed by the iNES format). While the UNIF format uses names instead of numbers, it is now obsolete and it is recommended to use NES 2.0 to express a mapper beyond 255.
