Font
The fonts are compressed with the LZSS variant.
I was able to replace the "comics" font: I took the decompressed graphics from VRAM (0x800 bytes at the beginning), wrote 00 08 into PRG $FA0D8, followed by FF before every 8 bytes of decompressed graphics. The result was uncompressed compression, the font address was PRG $2828C: D8 20 1A 00 (this is CPU $9FA0D8 - CPU $858000). You can use a different font this way, but for a full alphabet you'll need to find free space in VRAM.
