This template handles developer categorization and presentation in Template:Bob. Use is simple:

{{developer|[Developer]|ref=[Reference tag]}}

Developer names should have a reference tag attached inside a "ref" argument to give some idea where it was obtained from. If a game has only one developer, this thing is handled by Bob itself using the developerref= argument.

Examples:
{{developer|Sega}} -> Sega
{{developer|TOSE|ref=<ref>Hidden credit left inside the ROM.</ref>}} -> TOSE[1]

You call this template directly in the Bob's developers= argument. If a game had only one developer, you use developer=, which calls this template itself.
