Utilities
The maps in M.C. Kids were created with tUME, the Universal Map Editor. A freeware version called Open tUME is available, but unfortunately it does not include the conversion tool used for M.C. Kids (despite it being mentioned in the documentation).
Hacks
A prime example of an M.C. Kids ROM hack is Dalton McGuinty's Kids' Computer Game. Created during the 2003 Ontario provincial election, DMKCG taught kids about the values of eating right and exercising. Suitable for ages 7 and up.
